  • 5 जून 1972, यही वो दिन था जिस दिन योगी आ‍दित्‍यनाथ का जन्‍म हुआ था। उनके पिता का नाम आनंंद सिंह बिष्‍ट और मां का नाम सावित्री देवी है। आंनद सिंह बिष्‍ट एक राजपूर परिवार से ताल्‍लुक रखते थे। वो तब अपने परिवार के साथ उत्‍तरांखड के पौंडी जिले के पंचूर गांव में रहा करते थे।

  • गुरू अवैधनाथ की शरण में आने के बाद सन 1994 में अजय सिंह बिष्‍ट का एक सन्‍यासी बनने का सफर शुरू हो गया। अपने गुरू से शिक्षा लेने के बाद अजय सिंह बिष्‍ट 1994 में एक सन्‍यासी बन गये। सन्‍यासी बनने के बनने के बाद उन्‍होने अपना नाम बदलकर योगी आदित्‍यनाथ रख लिया। अपने परिवार से ये कहकर वो गोरखपुर आये थे कि वो वहां अपनी पढाई के सिलसिले में जा रहे है। उन्‍होने सन्‍यास ले लिया है ये बात उन्‍होने अपने परिवार को सन्‍यास लेने के तकरीबन 6 महीने के बाद बताई।
