- चिनाब ब्रिज का काम कई फ़ेज़ में पूरा किया गया. अक्टूबर 2009 में 118 किलोमीटर के क़ाज़ीगुंड-बारामुला सेक्शन का काम कमिश्नड किया गया. जून 2013 में 18 किलोमीटर के बनीहाल-क़ाज़ीगुंड का काम कमिश्नड किया गया. जुलाई 2014 में 25 किलोमीटर के उधमपुर-कटरा का काम कमिश्नड किया गया.

- चिनाब ब्रिज 1,315 मीटर लंबी ब्रिज है. ये दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा रेलवे ब्रिज है. ये ब्रिज सिंगल आर्क रेलवे ब्रिज है जिसकी लंबाई 1.3 किमी है. ये नदी तल से 359 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर बनाया गया है. भारतीय रेल द्वारा बनाया जा रहा ये ब्रिज पैरिस के एफ़िल टावर से 35 मीटर ऊंचा है.
- ये ब्रिज रिक्टर स्केल पर 8 तीव्रता की भूकंप को भी झेल सकेगा. ये ब्रिज 266 km/hr की रफ़्तार से चलने वाली हवाओं को भी झेल सकेगी.
