- भारत और नेपाल के बीच लम्बे समय से चल रहा पैसेंजर ट्रेन सेवा की शुरुआत का आज आगाज़ हो ही गया है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और नेपाल के प्रधानमंत्री शेर बहादुर देउबा ने संयुक्त रूप से ऐतिहासिक ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया… दोनों देश के प्रधाानमंत्री ने वर्चुअल तरीके से ट्रेन सेवा का फिर से आगाज किया…. नेपाल के प्रधानमंत्री शेर बहादुर देउबा इस मौके पर भारत की राजधानी दिल्ली में मौजूद रहे….
- उम्मीद की जा रही है कि इससे दोनों देशों के हजारों लोगों को फायदा होगा…. फिलहाल यह ट्रेन जयनगर से नेपाल के कुर्था (जनकपुर) तक जाएगी… बाद में इस रेलवे लाइन का विस्तार किया जाएगा… चूंकि यह ट्रेन दो देशों में जाएगी तो ऐसे में सवाल उठता है कि क्या ट्रेन के जरिये भारत से नेपाल जाने के लिए पासपोर्ट की जरूरत पड़ेगी? भारत सरकार और रेलवे की ओर से इस बाबत पूर्व में ही निर्देश जारी किए जा चुके हैं….

- ट्रेन से भारत से नेपाल जाने के लिए पासपोर्ट की अनिवार्यता नहीं रहेगी…. हालांकि, यात्रा के दौरान भारत सरकार या फिर राज्य सरकारों की ओर से जारी फोटो पहचान पत्र रखना अनिवार्य होगा…. ऐसे दस्तावेजों की एक सूची भी जारी की गई है…. पासपोर्ट की अनिवार्यता नहीं होगी, लेकिन यात्री पासपोर्ट के साथ भी नेपाल आ और जा सकेंगे… बता दें कि इस पैसेंजर ट्रेन का विस्तार नेपाल के वरदीवास तक किया जाएगा…. फिलहाल इस रेल सेक्शन को इसके लिए तैयार किया जा रहा है….

भारत-नेपाल ट्रेन यात्रा के लिए जरूरी दस्तावेज -:
– पासपोर्ट
– भारत सरकार/राज्य सरकार/संघ शासित प्रदेशों की ओर से कर्मचारियों के लिए जारी फोटो पहचान पत्र.
– भारतीय चुनाव आयोग की ओर से जारी फोटो पहचान पत्र.
– नेपाल स्थित भारतीय दूतावास/भारतीय महावाणिज्य दूतावास की ओर से जारी आपातकालीन प्रमाण पत्र या परिचय प्रमाण.
– 65 से अधिक और 15 वर्ष से कम आयु वर्ग के लोगों की उम्र और पहचान की पुष्टि के लिए फोटोयुक्त पैन कार्ड, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, सीजीएचएस कार्ड या राशन कार्ड आदि भी मान्य होंगे….
