Street Library Uttarakhand  पहल करने वाले युवा  बताते हैं कि उनके कुछ साथी हैं, जो किताबें डोनेट करते हैं. सोशल मीडिया से जो लोग जुड़े हुए हैं, वे उनसे संपर्क कर किताबें भिजवा देते हैं. दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी और अन्य संस्थानों के कुछ शिक्षक हैं, जो उनके इस अभियान में मदद कर रहे हैं. स्ट्रीट लाइब्रेरी के सामने एक कैफेटेरिया है, जो इसकी देखरेख करता है. लोग यहां आकर भी किताबें दे जाते हैं. हालांकि इसे मेनटेन करने की कुछ चुनौतियां भी हैं. वे कहते हैं कि कई किताबें चोरी हो चुकी हैं. कुछ ऐसे भी लोग आते हैं, जो पढ़ने के बहाने किताबें उठाते हैं और चुरा ले जाते हैं. वे कहते हैं कि किताबें ले जाने की मनाही नहीं है, लेकिन एक किताब के बदले दूसरी किताब रख जाएंगे तो यह कारवां बहुत अच्छे से चलता रहेगा.
