Army Village Uttarakhand आज हम बात करेंगे फौजियों के गाँव की , उस धरती की जहाँ कदम रखते ही गर्व का एहसास होता है। याद करेंगे वीर भूमि उत्तराखंड के सवाड गाँव के वीरों को जिस गाँव के वीरों ने एक दो नही बल्कि कई युद्ध में अपनी अदम्य साहस और वीरता का परिचय दिया है।
प्रथम विश्व युद्ध, द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध, पेशावर कांड के साथ ही 1962,1965,1971 और कारगिल युद्ध में अपनी वीरता का परिचय दिया। सवाड गाँव से प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में 22, द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध में 38, पेशावर काण्ड में 14, स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेना में 17, 1971 बांग्लादेश में युद्ध व ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टार में एक-एक सैनिक ने अपने शौर्य का प्रदर्शन किया है।प्रथम विश्वयुद्ध में इस गाँव के दो जवान शहीद भी हुए।
ऐसी वीरता कब लिए ब्रिटिश सरकार ने उनकी याद में शहीद स्मारक बनाया। वर्तमान में इस गांव में 72 पूर्व सैनिक, 16 विधवा पेंशनर करीब 100 से अधिक सैन्य सेना में सेवारत है। इस गाँव की मिट्टी की बात ही अलग है।सवाड गाँव की दूरी धराली से 30 किमी है और समुद्र तल से इसकी ऊँचाई करीब 1900 मीटर है। गाँव में 370 परिवार रहते है। गाँव में पारंपरिक खेती होती है।देवाल से सवाड गाँव तक कि सड़क बेहद खस्ताहाल है।अगर आप जाना चाहे तो बरसात के बाद जा सकते है।
उत्तराखंड (Uttarakhand) राज्य केवल देवभूमि ही नहीं है, बल्कि ये अपने शौर्य और बलिदान के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है. देश की हर लड़ाई में इस राज्य का योगदान रहा है, लेकिन इस राज्य में एक ऐसा गांव है, जो मिसाल से कम नहीं है, इसलिए गणतंत्र दिवस (Republic Day 2023) के मौके पर इस गांव का जिक्र जरूर होना चाहिए. उत्तराखंड के चमोली जनपद के सवाड़ गांव में लोगों में देश प्रेम कूट-कूट कर भरा है. यहां वीरता की ऐसी मिसाल है, जो कहीं और देखने को नहीं मिलती. हिमालय की गोद में बसे बेहद खुबसूरत सवाड़ गांव का गौरवशाली इतिहास हमें देश सेवा व देश पर मर मिटने के लिए प्रेरित करता है.

Army Village Uttarakhand सवाड़ गांव से प्रथम विश्व युद्व में 22, द्वितीय विश्व युद्व में 38, पेशावर कांड में 14, बांग्लादेश युद्व तथा ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टाॅर में एक-एक सैनिक शहीद हुआ. देश की आजादी की लड़ाई में इस गांव के 18 स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया था, जबकि 1962 के भारत चीन युद्ध में अकेले इस गांव से 16 सूबेदार मेजर थे.वर्तमान में इस गांव से 100 से अधिक भूतपूर्व सैनिक, 35 से अधिक पेंशन लेने वाली विधवा महिलाएं हैं. फिलहाल इस एकलौते गांव से 200 से अधिक सैनिक और अधिकारी देश की सेना में कार्यरत हैं.
