जी हाँ सही पढ़ा आपने , उत्तराखंड की चाय में अब औषधीय गुणों से भरे फूल-पौधों का स्वाद भी मिलेगा। उत्तराखंड चाय विकास बोर्ड यह पहल करने जा रहा है। इसके तहत बुरांश, टिमरु, हल्दी, तुलसी व अदरक का फ्लेवर ‘उत्तराखंड-टी’ में देने की तैयारी है। बोर्ड ने क्वालिटी कंट्रोल अथारिटी आफ इंडिया को सैंपल भेजे हैं। वहां से हरी झंडी मिलते ही राज्य में ‘फ्लेवर्ड टी’ का उत्पादन शुरू हो जाएगा। यह चाय मार्च के अंत से मई तक हिमालयी क्षेत्र की ठंडी पहाड़ियों में खिलने वाले सुर्ख लाल रोडोडेंड्रोन फूलों की सूखी पंखुड़ियों से बनती है। बुरांश चाय पाचन में सहायक, एलर्जी से लड़ने और फेफड़ों की सेहत में सुधार के अलावा इसके सूजन कम करने वाले गुणों के लिए जानी जाती है।
रोडोडेंड्रोन फूलों की पंखुड़ियों को हाथ से चुना जाता है, फिर धूप में सुखाया जाता है और चीनी के साथ पानी में उबाला जाता है। इससे छानने और परोसने से पहले, स्वाद को बढ़ाने के लिए तुलसी के पत्ते और कुछ ग्रीन टी भी डाली जाती है। माइक्रो-ब्लॉगिंग प्लेटफॉर्म कू ऐप पर उत्तराखंड टूरिज्म ने बुरांश चाय की एक पोस्ट डालते हुए लिखा- “लव एट फर्स्ट सिप ! ”
