China Super Cow चीन लगातार साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी की फील्ड में अजीबो-गरीब एक्सपेरिमेंट कर रहा है। हाल ही में चीनी वैज्ञानिकों ने दावा किया है कि उन्होंने क्लोनिंग के जरिए तीन ‘सुपर काऊ’ तैयार की हैं। ये गायें अपनी पूरी जिंदगी में 100 टन यानी 2 लाख 83 हजार लीटर दूध दे सकती हैं। लोकल मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, तीनों गायों की ब्रीडिंग नॉर्थवेस्ट यूनिवर्सिटी के साइंटिस्ट्स ने कराई है। ये बछड़े पिछले दो महीने में निंगशिया इलाके में पैदा हुए हैं। ये सभी नीदरलैंड्स से आने वाली होलस्टीन फ्रीसियन गाय के क्लोन हैं।

China Super Cow अलैंगिक तरीके से एक जीव से दूसरे जीव को तैयार करने की प्रोसेस को क्लोनिंग कहा जाता है। आसान भाषा में, वैज्ञानिक एक जानवर का DNA लेते हैं और इसकी मदद से जानवर का प्रतिरूप तैयार करते हैं। वैज्ञानिक अपनी सहूलियत के हिसाब से इनके जीन्स में बदलाव करते हैं, ताकि सामान्य जानवर की तुलना में ज्यादा शक्तिशाली जानवर बनाया जा सके।

प्रोजेक्ट लीड जिन यापिंग ने बताया कि सबसे पहले अच्छी नस्ल की गायों के कान के सेल्स (कोशिकाएं) निकाले गए। फिर इनसे भ्रूण तैयार कर 120 गायों में प्रत्यारोपित किए गए। इनमें से 42% गाय गर्भवती हुईं। फिलहाल तीन सुपर काऊ का जन्म हो चुका है, जबकि 17.5% बछड़ों का जन्म अगले कुछ दिनों में हो सकता है।

  • China Super Cow वैज्ञानिकों की मानें तो एक सुपर काऊ एक साल में 18 टन (16.3 हजार लीटर) दूध देने में सक्षम है। यह अमेरिका की नॉर्मल गाय की तुलना में 1.7 गुना ज्यादा है। यापिंग का कहना है कि चीन में अगले 2-3 साल में एक हजार सुपर काऊ पैदा की जाएंगी। इससे डेयरी इंडस्ट्री को ज्यादा से ज्यादा फायदा होगा। फिलहाल चीन में हर 10 हजार में से 5 गाय ही अपने जीवन में 100 टन दूध दे पाती हैं। इसके अलावा देश में 70% डेयरी गाय आयात की जाती हैं।
