Ramman Festival 11 या कभी 13 दिन भी मनाया जाता है. यह विविध कार्यक्रमों, पूजा और अनुष्ठानों की एक शृंखला है… इसमें सामूहिक पूजा, देवयात्रा, लोकनाट्य, नृत्य, गायन, मेला आदि विविध आयोजन होते हैं… यह भूम्याल देवता की वार्षिक पूजा का अवसर भी है और परिवारों और ग्राम-क्षेत्र के देवताओं से भेंट करने का मौका भी….
Ramman Festival रम्माण उत्सव सलूड़ गांव की 500 वर्ष पुरानी परंपरा है, जिसे 2009 में यूनेस्को ने विश्व धरोहर सूची में शामिल किया था… इस उत्सव में रम्माण उत्सव में रामायण पाठ किया जाता है लेकिन बिना संवादों के गीतों, ढोल और ताल पर मुखौटा शैली पर रामायण का मंचन होता है… इस बार 27 अप्रैल को यह आयोजन होगा.. जोशीमठ विकासखंड डुंग्री, बरोशी, सेलंग गांवों में रम्माण का आयोजन किया जाता है, लेकिन सलूड़ गांव का रम्माण ज्यादा लोकप्रिय है… इसका आयोजन सलूड़-डुंग्रा की संयुक्त पंचायत करती है. यह धार्मिक सांस्कृतिक आयोजन है।

Ramman Festival की तैयारियां चल रही हैं.. उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री और पर्यटन मंत्री को निमंत्रण दिया जा चुका है… गांव के लोग उत्साहित हैं और विशेष तैयारियां कर रहे हैं… उन्हें पूरी उम्मीद है कि धामी और महाराज उनके न्यौते पर यहां पहुंचेंगे….. इधर, रुद्रप्रयाग ज़िले में रांसी की प्रसिद्ध रम्माण से मेले का समापन हुआ..उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले के सलूड़ डुंग्रा गांव में प्रतिवर्ष अप्रैल माह में रम्माण मेला का आयोजित होता है। इस गांव के अलावा डुंग्री, बरोसी, सेलंग गांवों में भी रम्माण का आयोजन किया जाता है। इसमें सलूड़ गांव का रम्माण ज्यादा लोकप्रिय है।
Ramman Festival का आयोजन सलूड़-डुंग्रा की संयुक्त पंचायत करती है। रम्माण मेला कभी 11 दिन तो कभी 13 दिन तक भी मनाया जाता है। यह विविध कार्यक्रमों, पूजा और अनुष्ठानों की एक श्रृंखला है। इसमें सामूहिक पूजा, देवयात्रा, लोकनाट्य, नृत्य, गायन, मेला आदि विविध आयोजन होते हैं। अंतिम दिन लोकशैली में रामायण के कुछ चुनिंदा प्रसंगों को प्रस्तुत किया जाता है। रामायण के इन प्रसंगों की प्रस्तुति के कारण यह सम्पूर्ण आयोजन रम्माण के नाम से जाना जाता है। इन प्रसंगों के साथ बीच-बीच में पौराणिक, ऐतिहासिक एवं मिथकीय चरित्रों तथा घटनाओं को मुखौटा नृत्य शैली के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया जाता है।
Ramman Festival रम्माण उत्सव में जिस नृत्य शैली का उपयोग किया जाता है, वह मुखौटा नृत्य शैली है। इस में नृत्यक अपने मुख में मुखौटा पहनता है, फिर नृत्यकला का प्रदर्शन करते है। इसमें कोई भी संवाद पात्रों के बीच नहीं होता। पूरी रम्माण में 18 मुखौटों, 18 तालों, 12 जोड़ी ढोल-दमाऊ व आठ भंकोरों के अलावा झांझर व मजीरों के जरिए भावों की अभिव्यक्ति दी जाती है।
Ramman Festival वर्ष 2007 तक सलूड़ तक ही सीमित था। लेकिन गांव के ही शिक्षक डॉ. कुशल सिंह भंडारी की मेहनत का नतीजा था, कि आज रम्माण को विश्व धरोहर में स्थान मिला हुआ है। डॉ. भंडारी ने रम्माण को लिपिबद्ध कर इसका अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद किया। उसके बाद इसे गढ़वाल विवि लोक कला निष्पादन केंद्र की सहायता से वर्ष 2008 में दिल्ली स्थित इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय कला केन्द्र तक पहुंचाया। इस संस्थान को रम्माण की विशेषता इतनी पसंद आयी कि कला केंद्र की पूरी टीम सलूड-डूंग्रा पहुंची और वे लोग इस आयोजन से इतने अभिभूत हुए कि 40 लोगों की एक टीम को दिल्ली बुलाया गया। बाद में इसे भारत सरकार ने यूनेस्को भेज दिया।
दो अक्टूबर 2009 को यूनेस्को ने पैनखंडा में Ramman Festival रम्माण को विश्व धरोहर घोषित किया। इस सफलता का श्रेय गढ़वाल विश्वद्यिालय के प्रोफेसर दाताराम पुरोहित, प्रसिद्ध छायाकार अरविंद मुद्गिल, रम्माण लोकजागर गायक थान सिंह नेगी व डॉ. कुशल सिंह भंडारी को जाता है। हर वर्ष आयोजित होने वाला रम्माण का शुभ मुहूर्त बैसाखी पर निकाला जाता है।
