kinnaro ki shadi  तमिलनाडु के विल्लुपुरम जिले के कुनागम गांव में हर साल तमिल नए साल की पहली पूर्णिमा पर किन्नरों का विवाह समारोह आयोजित किया जाता है, जो 18 दिनों तक चलता है। इस दौरान यहां नाच-गाना आदि कई कार्यक्रम होते हैं। इस समारोह में भाग लेने के लिए देश भर के हजारों किन्नर यहां इकट्ठा होते हैं। विवाह समारोह के 17 वें दिन किन्नर दुल्हन के रूप में सजती-संवरती हैं और फिर अरावन भगवान के मंदिर जाती हैं। यहां पुजारी किन्नरों के गले में अरावन देव के नाम का मंगलसूत्र पहनाते हैं। इस तरह किन्नरों की शादी भगवान अरावन से हो जाती है।

  • kinnaro ki shadi शादी के बाद किन्नर नाच-गाकर अपनी खुशी का इजहार करते हैं, लेकिन ये खुशी अगले ही दिन मातम में बदल जाती है। परंपरा के अनुसार, किन्नरों की शादी सिर्फ एक रात के लिए होती है। 18वें दिन अरावन देव की प्रतिमा को सिंहासन पर बैठाकर पूरे गांव में जुलूस निकाला जाता है। इसके बाद पंडित सांकेतिक रूप से अरावन देव का मस्तक काट देते हैं और सभी किन्नर विधवा हो जाती हैं। ऐसा होता है किन्नर अपनी चूड़ियां तोड़ देते हैं और विधवा का लिबास यानी सफेद साड़ी पहन लेते हैं। 19वें दिन किन्नर अपने मंगलसूत्र को अरावन देव को समर्पित कर देते हैं और नया मंगलसूत्र पहनते हैं।

  • kinnaro ki shadi  किन्नरों के आराध्य देव अरावन का इतिहास महाभारत से जुड़ा है। अरावन अर्जुन और नागकन्या उलूपी के पुत्र थे। महाभारत युद्ध शुरू होने से पहले पांडव मां काली की पूजा करते हैं। इस पूजा में एक राजकुमार की बलि देनी होती है। तब अरावन स्वयं आगे आते हैं और बलि के लिए राजी हो जाते हैं। लेकिन समस्या यहां खत्म नहीं होती, बलि के लिए तैयार राजकुमार का विवाहित होना भी जरूरी होता है। इस स्थिति में भगवान श्रीकृष्ण स्वयं मोहिनी रूप धारण कर अरावन से विवाह करते हैं। अगले दिन स्वयं अरावन अपना मस्तक काटकर देवी को चढ़ा देते हैं, ऐसा होते ही मोहिनी रूपी श्रीकृष्ण विधवा बनकर रोने लगते हैं। किन्नर ये मानते हैं कि श्रीकृष्ण ने पुरुष होकर भी औरत बनकर अरावन से विवाह किया। किन्नर भी आधी महिला और आधे पुरुष होते हैं, इसलिए वे भी अरावन को अपना पति मानकर उनसे शादी करते हैं।
