  • UKSSSC Curruption Enquiry अनूठे लोक गायक गोपाल बाबू गोस्वामी के अध्यापक पुत्र को नकल माफिया गिरोह का सदस्य पाए जाने पर मुझे एक हल्की सी ही टीस उठी, अधिक नहीं.ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा उतनी, जितना कि कोविड का टीका लगाए जाने पर पर थोड़ी देर के लिए होती है.क्योंकि अनेक ऐसे लडके, जिन्हे मैं ज़ेब कतरा , बीड़ी चोर , कच्ची शराब के सप्लायर और और 1 अनुपात 4 की बजाय 1 – 8 का मसाला बनाने वाले बेईमान ठेकेदार के रूप में जानता था, उनमे से अनेक आज मंत्री और विधायक हैं.

    हम वह गद्दार कौम हैं , जिसने चंद्र सिंह गढ़वाली को 6 बार चुनाव हरवाया, और लकड़ी, रेत, बजरी के अनेक चोरों को लगातार जिताते हैं. यह सब चलता रहेगा. हम अपने ही… ड़े से ख़ुद की ही बुंड मारते रहेंगे.
    यह सब छोड़िये . मैं इसी बहाने आपको गोपाल बाबू गोस्वामी की बाबत कुछ बताता हूं, जिनके साथ मैंने 78 से 82 के बीच अनेक प्रोग्राम साथ किये हैं . तब मैं नाचना – गाना करके ही अपना खर्च चलाता था .
    उन जैसा ऊँची पिच का गायक फिर कोई और न हुआ. वह पेटी बाजा के चौथे काले से स्थाई उठाते थे , और अंतरे की कोई लिमिट ही नहीं थी . गढ़वाल – कुमाऊं सीमान्त का वासी होने के कारण वह दोनों बोलियों में समान रूप से गाते थे .वह एक सरल और मस्त मलंग इंसान थे . तबियत आने पर कहीं भी गाने बैठ जाते थे .
  • एक बार, 1978 के आस पास, टिहरी के म्युनिस्पिल हॉल में कईयों के साथ उनका भी कार्यक्रम था .
    उनका तब इतना ही क्रेज़ था , जैसा आज नरेन्द्र सिंह नेगी का है .
    कार्यक्रम के छायंकन के लिए टिहरी के मात्र दो में से एक फोटो ग्राफ़र भूषण नौटियाल को बुलवाया गया था .
    गोपाल बाबू के तान छेड़ते ही भूषण बाबू ने कैमरा एक कुर्सी पर रख सामने आकर नाचना शुरू कर दिया. वह फिट होकर आये थे .
    कुछ देर बाद गोपाल बाबू भी हारमोनियम और डायस छोड़ उनके साथ नाचने लगे.
    गोपाल बाबू भी फिट थे .
    तब मैंने पेटी – बाजा संभाला , और उन्हें नाचने दिया.

  • UKSSSC Curruption Enquiry गोपाल बाबू तवा रिकॉर्ड प्रस्तुत करने वाले हमारे पहले पॉपुलर फोक सिंगर थे .यूँ तो जीत सिंह नेगी का तवा रिकॉर्ड 1948 में ही आ गया था , पर तब लोक संगीत में बाज़ार नहीं था . गोपाल बाबू बाज़ार में छाने वाले पहले पॉपुलर लोक गायक थे .लेकिन वह एक मलंग और अ सम्पादित व्यक्ति थे , अतः उन्हें कैसेट और रिकॉर्ड कम्पनियों ने खूब ठगा .
    लोक संगीत को विधिवत एक व्यवस्थित मार्किट देने वाले पहले गायक नरेंद्र सिंह नेगी हैं .नेगी न होते, तो आज जो उतावले और छिछोरे लौंडे अपने पैसे से एल्बम बना कर इतरा रहे हैं , वे कहीं न होते.और अच्छे अच्छे लोक गायक भी दारू के पव्वा और मुर्गे की जूठी टांग के एवज में गा बजा रहे होते.जैसे शास्त्रीय संगीत के कई बड़े बड़े दिग्गज, उस्ताद उस्ताद अला उद्दीन खां से पहले $$$$ के कोठे पर सारंगी बजा कर घर आटा ले जा पाते थे ….ब हर हाल  मैं अपनी 1976 की एक रिकॉर्डिंग पोस्ट करूंगा, जो मैंने आकाशवाणी लख़नऊ पर गायी थी . हमारे प्रदेश के युवा , हैंडसम चित्रकार एवं संगीत शोधक भास्कर Bhaskar Bhauryal आजकल आकाश वाणी के अर्कैइव से मेरी पुरानी रिकॉर्डिंग खोद खोद कर निकाल रहे हैं. नकल घोटाले में अब इससे आगे कुछ नहीं होगा. आखिर आप पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री को गिरफ्तार कैसे करोगे?
