- गुजरात के हलारी नस्ल के गधों का दूध दवाओं का खजाना माना जाता है। Donkey Milk यह बाजार में दो हजार से सात हजार रुपये प्रति लीटर में बिकता है। इससे कैंसर, मोटापा, एलर्जी जैसी बीमारियों से लड़ने की क्षमता विकसित होती है। यह सौंदर्य उत्पाद भी बनाता है, जो काफी महंगे हैं। एनआरसीई हिसार के केंद्रीय भैंस अनुसंधान केंद्र और करनाल के राष्ट्रीय डेयरी अनुसंधान संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों को भी डेयरी शुरू करने के लिए सूचीबद्ध किया जा रहा है।

- खबरों में जानकारों के हवाले से कहा जा रहा है कि कई बार गाय या भैंस के दूध से छोटे बच्चों को एलर्जी हो जाती है, लेकिन हलारी नस्ल की Donkey Milk गधी के दूध से कभी एलर्जी नहीं होती। इसके दूध में एंटी ऑक्सीडेंट, एंटी एजीन तत्व पाए जाते हैं, जो शरीर में कई गंभीर बीमारियों से लड़ने की क्षमता विकसित करते हैं।
- एनआरसीई की एक वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक अनुराधा भारद्वाज, जो इस परियोजना पर काम कर रही हैं, बताती हैं कि कई बार छोटे बच्चों को गाय या भैंस के दूध से एलर्जी होती है, लेकिन Donkey Milk हलरी नस्ल के गधे के दूध से कभी एलर्जी नहीं होती है। इसके दूध में एंटी-ऑक्सीडेंट, एंटी-एजिंग तत्व होते हैं जो शरीर की कई गंभीर बीमारियों से लड़ने की क्षमता विकसित करते हैं। गधे के दूध पर शोध कार्य एनआरसीई के पूर्व निदेशक डॉ बीएन त्रिपाठी द्वारा शुरू किया गया था।एनआरसीई के निदेशक डॉ यशपाल ने कहा कि इस दूध में नाममात्र का वसा होता है।
